Vertical Blinds fitting inside a recess – Blind Fitting Expert
The versatility of vertical blinds allows them to be fitted in any area of the home. Vertical blinds provide a practical solution for shading and privacy to patio doors, french doors and the increasingly popular bi-fold doors. Kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms are an ideal setting for vertical blinds to be fitted.
Fitting vertical blinds supplies total light control from fully closed to open with filtering of light in between. You have complete privacy when the vertical blind is closed but easy access through patio doors when opened.
Blind Fitting Expert is usually asked to fit vertical blinds inside the window recess. We must fit top fixing brackets to the underside of the reveal. Most vertical blinds are easily snapped into the brackets when they are fitted. Just offer the track into right hand lip, as shown in the bracket images, then snap the blind into the spring clip on the left side.
We need to remember that vertical blinds must be positioned far enough away from the window to allow the vanes to rotate without any obstructions. Vertical blind vanes will normally be supplied with either 90mm or 127 mm width slats. You must fit the vertical blind brackets at least half a slat width away from any window or door handles. Fitting instructions should be provided with your vertical blind.
Vertical blinds can be as wide as 5 metres in width. Some kind customers kindly offer to help Blind Fitting Expert offer up a wide blinds into position. Even very wide vertical blinds can easily be fitted by one person. Just clip up one bracket and the blind will remain in place. Then move along and clip in the next bracket.
After the track is fitted, remembering to get the controls the right way round, it is a simple job to snap or hook in the slats and your vertical blind fitting job is complete.
